This year’s challenge theme is ‘Race Around the World’. So ‘On Your Marks Get Set GO!’
We are also delighted to announce that this year, UK colleagues from all the Marsh McLennan offices will be able to take part in the Team City Challenge 2024. You will have the opportunity to participate in the Team City Challenge within the town or city in which your office is located and at a time that best suits your team. This year we want as many colleagues as possible to be involved and to aim to raise £30,000 for our award-winning partnership with Ambitious about Autism. The format of this year’s challenge is to provide you with the flexibility to complete the challenge where and when it’s most convenient for your team.
You will be able to undertake the Team City Challenge in any town or city in which Marsh McLennan has an office in the UK, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands
As part of Global Volunteer Month you can complete the Team City Challenge at any time on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 21st, or 23rd May. This means that you can take part in the Team City Challenge at any time that best suits your team or department whether that is 09:00 on the 8th, 17:00 on the 14th May or at any time in between. Therefore, if a team’s plans change for any reason, (e.g. unexpected client meetings or very wet weather), they can delay their start to a later time in the day/week to enjoy more convenient or pleasant conditions.
The Team City Challenge is open to all Marsh McLennan colleagues. It is designed for teams of 3 to 6 colleagues to take part in together.
This year the event will be managed and administered via this website. The website will also be used to monitor the time you take to complete the Team City Challenge to ensure that you don’t exceed the allocated time of 3 hours.
The instructions will be available via the website and loaded in a PDF format if you wish to print them off.
The instructions will be available in two parts and they will be loaded onto the website on Thursday 2nd May.
1. Part One Instructions – These instructions will provide an overview of the Team City Challenge which will enable you to do your initial planning.
You will have 3 hours (180 minutes to complete the challenge)
2. Part Two Instructions – These provide the necessary details to allow you to complete the challenge. They can only be accessed by using the unique entry code which you will receive when you register your team.
These will ONLY be downloadable just before you commence the challenge as your 3-hour session will begin once Part Two of the instructions are accessed on the website.
Your event timer will not stop until you have uploaded your answers to the website again using your unique entry code at the end of the Team City Challenge.
A list of all the teams that have registered to take part in this year’s challenge will be available online.
If you are taking part in this year’s challenge, check the list of registered teams (by clicking on the button below) to ensure your team is included on the list and all the details for your team are correct.
The two steps to getting involved are:
Step 1: Pay your £15 entry fee via the Social Impact Platform. This is a donation towards Ambitious about Autism and will be matched 100% by the company.
Once you have paid your entry fee you can then register your team.
Step 2: Register your team
To register a team to take part in the 2024 Team City Challenge, one member of your team will need to collate and provide the following details for your team.
